Democracy Hub Demo: Police Launch Manhunt for Protest Leader Oliver Vormawor for Allegedly Removing Keys from Police Vehicle

The Ghana Police Service has initiated a manhunt for Oliver Vormawor, a leader of the Democracy Hub protest, following unlawful activities during a demonstration at the 37 Roundabout in Accra.

Several demonstrators were arrested for obstructing traffic, dismantling police barriers, and disrupting public order.

Initially focused on addressing economic challenges, the protest evolved into an anti-galamsey demonstration. In viral videos, Vormawor is seen taking a key from a police vehicle and throwing it away before fleeing, as well as toppling police barricades.
