Delta Air Lines has resumed its non-stop flights from Accra to Atlanta, restoring a major direct travel route between Ghana and the United States. The service officially restarted on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, announced the development in a Facebook post, describing it as a significant boost to travel convenience for Ghanaians and international travellers.
He added that Ghana also welcomes Air Transat’s new non-stop Accra–Canada service, scheduled to begin on June 17, 2026.
Ablakwa noted that these new aviation links will enhance economic diplomacy, support trade and tourism, and improve travel options for Ghanaians.
The restored Delta route is expected to strengthen business connections and deepen bilateral relations between Ghana, the U.S., and Canada.
