COVID-19: Ghana’s Death Cases Increases to 799

 

A total number of 799 COVID-19 deaths have been recorded in the country so far according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS) .

In its latest update, the GHS revealed that as of July 6, a total of 1,982 active cases were recorded in thirteen regions.

The three regions that have not recorded active cases are the Savannah, Upper East and Upper West regions.

Also, new cases recorded stand at 159.

Out of 97,130 confirmed cases, 94,349 patients have recovered and have been discharged from various health facilities.

Twenty-three of the cases recorded are said to be severe while 11 others are regarded as critical.

The Ghana Health Service also revealed that 1,933 Covid-19 cases have been recorded at the Kotoka International Airport. Out of this figure, 1,838 persons have recovered and subsequently discharged.

Meanwhile, Greater Accra with 53,282 confirmed cases remains the region with the highest number of cases recorded.
