A court is expected to decide today, May 2, 2025, whether to remand Kwabena Adu-Boahen, the former head of the National Signals Bureau, following allegations of witness tampering.

Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine requested the remand, citing intelligence suggesting that Adu-Boahen attempted to interfere with a key prosecution witness.

Defense lawyer Samuel Atta Akyea challenged the credibility of the claim, questioning both the intelligence and his client’s capacity to influence witnesses.

The judge has deferred the decision and will review evidence in-camera before delivering a ruling.

Dr. Ayine also mentioned that Adu-Boahen is under investigation in a separate case involving Ghana Water Limited.
