The Civil Local Government Staff Association, Ghana (CLOGSAG) has announced a nationwide strike set for Thursday, February 20, 2025, in protest against the government’s failure to remove Samuel Adom Botchway as the Registrar of the Births and Deaths Registry.

Despite assurances from the government that Mr. Botchway would be relieved of his duties, CLOGSAG claims his recent participation in a budget hearing at the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs on Monday, February 17, 2025, confirms that he remains in office.
