1. Support them.

This is an excellent way to display your love for your significant other! When you support your partner, you show your willingness to cheer their success and also comfort them when they struggle.

2. Love them despite their shortcomings.

Everybody’s flawed, but we should love each other despite those shortcomings. This is important in relationships because it shows how deeply you care about your partner. You can showcase your passionate feelings by loving someone even in their less flattering moments. You’ll both feel more connected once you accept each other’s shortcomings.

3. Teach them new things.

When you love someone, you want to help them grow as a person. Learning together is a powerful way to feel closer since it forces you to rely on each other. It also allows you to share your knowledge with your partner and lets them see you shine.

4. Show up when you know they’re not OK.

It’s important to know when your partner is not at their best. When you know someone well, it’s obvious when they need extra support, and you should provide just that.

Don’t you feel extra appreciated when someone remembers your favorite candy and buys it for you? Little gestures like that show just how much you pay attention to your lover.

Don’t just remember the big stuff, like their birthday, last name, or favorite coffee order. Focusing on the tiny details makes your partner feel like they are your world, and you remember them even when you’re not together.

7. Do their chores for them.

Sometimes, your partner needs a break after a hard day at work. If you live together, try doing the dishes or laundry.

This allows your lover to relax and forget about their troubles. If you don’t live together, try cooking for them while they sit with their feet up and unwind in your company.

8. Compromise with them.

Relationships require commitment, meaning that compromise becomes a very important aspect of coexistence. Both parties must understand that they can’t always have their way.

9. Stay up to wait for them.

Before s3x

  • Check your lube

  • Practice safe sex

It’s been drummed into us from our school days, but in the throes of passion, it can be easy to forget to use a condom.

Whether your concern is unplanned pregnancy or contracting a sexually transmitted infection (STI), using a condom is the only way to prevent both.

Other forms of birth control can help prevent pregnancy but will not protect you against STIs if you are having penetrative or oral s3x, so don’t be afraid to have a conversation with your partner about your sexual histories, and discuss using condoms to help keep your vagina healthy!

  • Be safe

There’s not much you need to remember about keeping your vagina healthy while you’re in the middle of sex – just do your thing and enjoy.

After sex

  • Use the bathroom within 30 minutes

In real life, you may find yourself needing to use the bathroom soon after sex. And if you don’t, you should still go.

It’s actually quite important to urinate soon after you have penetrative sex, because, during sex, bacteria can make their way from the genitals to the urethra, and can cause a UTI.

Although larger studies haven’t exactly proved that peeing after sex can prevent getting an infection, it certainly can’t hurt! In fact, 60% of recurrent UTIs begin after sex, so it’s worth a try if you can avoid that pesky burning.

By weeing after sex, you are flushing the bacteria out of the urethra, which can prevent any issues later on.

We’re not talking immediately after the deed is done, but within around 30 minutes should do the trick.

Keep in mind that females are up to 30x more likely to get a UTI than males, so even if your partner doesn’t fancy getting up to go to the loo, you still should.

  • Skip the douching 

Sometimes the vagina can feel a bit icky after sex, and some people like to ‘douche’ afterwards to feel cleaner, or because they believe it is the best way to clean inside and remove any unwanted semen if they have had unprotected sex.

Douching can mean different things to different people, but generally, it involves spraying water into the vagina, or even a mix of water and other ingredients or cleaning products like soap.

Douching, whether it’s a high-pressure shower situation or a less intense method, is never the way to a clean vagina. The inside of your vagina is actually self-cleaning and doesn’t need any help.

Douching is associated with an increased risk of many health conditions, like bacterial vaginosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, and even pregnancy complications.

  • Use a simple wipe

With the inside taken care of, if you want to freshen up you may prefer to clean the outside of your vagina after sex.

Showering isn’t necessary from a vaginal health perspective, but feel free to do it if you want.

Alternatively, a simple wipe-down will do. The best thing for this is unscented baby wipes, and remember – don’t worry about the inside, just stick to the outside.

Times Magazine Ranks Accra As The Best Place To Visit In Africa

Ghana’s capital, Accra is the best place to visit in Africa according to TIME Magazine.

The city beat Mozambique’s Benguerra Island and Cairo of Egypt that followed respectively.

The magazine’s 2021 World’s Greatest Places revealed that Accra is easy to access with many flights being able to enter the country daily.

TIME added that tourists have many things to see and enjoy in the capital including museums, beaches, arts, amongst others.

“Accra is a key destination for visitors interested in connecting with Africa’s history and its people’s heritage,” the Magazine said.

Accra’s nightlife, as well as good food, were not left out of things visitors should look out for.
