Bridget Otoo has Finally Spoken After Being Released From Police Custody

Ghanaian journalist Bridget Otoo recently revealed a distressing encounter with police officers, which unfolded in response to her desire to become an active citizen, inspired by President Nana Akufo Addo’s call for civic engagement over passive spectatorship. She detailed her intention to communicate with a fellow reporter during the incident, only to be forcibly involved by the police along with some other individuals.

Shockingly, her clothing was torn off in the process, leaving her exposed in her undergarments in front of a public television audience. This traumatic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of advocating for fundamental rights and freedom of speech, which she passionately championed, emphasizing that citizens should have the same liberties as their president had when he was in opposition.

Bridget Otoo’s advocacy extends to the critical issues of job opportunities and unrestricted speech. She fervently urged that citizens be granted the right to express their opinions freely, just as the president enjoys the freedom to speak without constraints. Furthermore, Otoo took to her Twitter platform to report that the interviewer who had spoken with her was also apprehended by the police and subjected to brutal beatings.
