
The newly appointed Head of Information at the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland, Bridget Bonnie, has pledged her full commitment to advancing President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda and the mission’s communication objectives.
Her appointment was officially made by President Mahama on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Following the announcement, Ms. Bonnie expressed her gratitude and readiness to contribute to the High Commission’s goals under the leadership of Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the UK and Ireland.
“It is a profound honor to serve at the Ghana High Commission in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland as the Head of Information. I am sincerely grateful for this privilege and remain deeply committed to advancing the Mission’s communication and public diplomacy agenda,” she stated.
Emphasizing teamwork and national service, Ms. Bonnie added that she looks forward to helping the mission achieve its Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in alignment with President Mahama’s vision to rebuild and reposition Ghana for sustainable growth.
“Under the distinguished leadership of Her Excellency Sabah Zita Benson, I look forward to contributing meaningfully toward the attainment of the High Commission’s KPIs in alignment with the visionary Reset Agenda of H.E John Dramani Mahama,” she added.
She also extended appreciation to the President and the Ghanaian youth, expressing optimism about Ghana’s future: “Together, we will build the Ghana we want.”
The Ghana High Commission in the UK serves as a key center for information and diplomacy, promoting trade, investment, tourism, and consular services. It also provides oversight for four major Ghanaian institutions based in London, the Cocoa Marketing Company, Ghana Forestry Commission, Ghana International Bank, and the Universities of Ghana office.
Bridget Bonnie’s appointment is expected to strengthen the mission’s public engagement and enhance Ghana’s image internationally through effective communication and strategic partnerships.
