Biography of Jay Bahd

Born Jackson Kwadwo Bawuah, Jay Bahd is a Ghanaian hip-hop artiste, songwriter, and drill star.

He is a member of the Kumasi-based Asakaa Boys group that started what is locally known as ‘Asakaa’ music or Drill Music, and the ‘Kumerica’ movement.

Jay Bahd first came to prominence after he was featured by Yaw Tog on his popular hit song, ‘Sore’ which also featured the likes of O‘kenneth, City Boy, and Reggie.

On November 13th, 2020, Jay announced his presence on the music scene with the release of his debut track titled, ‘Condemn’ which currently has over 1.7million views on Youtube.

On Monday, March 29th, 2021, Jay Bhad shocked many music lovers in Ghana when a nu.de video in which he was seen getting a bl0.w j0.b from an unidentified slay queen, was leaked on his Twitter Handle with the caption: “Yegye Tire”, which translates in the Twi dialect as, ‘I’m receiving head’.

In the said le.aked video, Jay Bhad laid on his back whilst the slay queen performed the magic on him.

Jay Bhad surprisingly took to Twitter to announce that he indulges in se.x to release stress.

He wrote:

“I only s.ex to release stress.”

Jay Bhad Girlfriend, Relationship

The slay queen who was spotted in the leaked nu.de video, giving the ‘Condemn’ hitmaker a ‘BJ’ has been identified as his girlfriend (see the above photo).

She is said to be a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Jay Bahd Music Career, Asakaa Boys, Kumerica

Jay Bhad started rapping to entertain his friends and school mates when he was very young.

The ‘Condemn’ hitmaker’s music career took shape after he became a member of the Asakaa Boys based in Kumasi.

The Asakaa Boys are nine members and they include: O’Kenneth, Jay Bahd, Kawabanga, City Boy, Reggie, Kwaku DMC, Sean Lifer, Rabby Jones, and Braa Benk.

According to Jay Bhad, his music career was heavily influenced by the late American rapper, Pop Smoke’s hit song, ‘Dior’, which had spread across the world.

Jay Bhad’s breakthrough came after he was featured by Yaw Tog on ‘Sore’ which also featured other Asakaa members like O’Kenneth, Reggie, and City Boy.

Jay Bhad is signed to the Life Living Records label.
