Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo continued his impressive start to life at Manchester City after scoring in the club’s 2-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English Premier League.
The 26-year-old returned to action after missing City’s shock 3-1 defeat to Bodo-Glimt in the UEFA Champions League, a competition he is currently ineligible to feature in.
Semenyo scored City’s second goal in added time of the first half, curling a fine effort into the net from the edge of the box after controlling a precise pass from Bernardo Silva. The strike sealed the win for Pep Guardiola’s side at the Etihad Stadium.
The goal marked Semenyo’s first Premier League goal at home since joining Manchester City from AFC Bournemouth earlier this month. He previously opened his City account on home debut during a 10-1 FA Cup victory over Exeter City.
Since arriving at Manchester City, the Black Stars forward has been in fine form, scoring three goals and providing one assist in four appearances across all competitions. In the ongoing 2025–2026 league season, Semenyo has recorded 11 goals and three assists in 22 league matches.
Despite his strong performances at club level, Semenyo has found it difficult to replicate the same impact with Ghana’s senior national team. He has scored just three goals in 32 appearances for the Black Stars.
