Amina Adams likely to defeat Baba Jamal in NDC Ayawaso East primary – Global InfoAnalytics

A new opinion poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics indicates that Hajia Amina Adams is leading the race for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary in Ayawaso East ahead of the March 2026 by-election.

According to the survey, Hajia Amina Adams commands 58% support among respondents, placing her well ahead of Baba Jamal, who secured 32%. Other aspirants in the contest recorded significantly lower figures, with Muhammed Ramne polling 5%, Dr. Yakubu Azindow receiving 3%, and Najib Muhammed Sani garnering 2%.

All five aspirants successfully passed the party’s vetting process, which was conducted in late January at the NDC Greater Accra Regional Office. The party is scheduled to hold its Ayawaso East parliamentary primary on Saturday, February 7, to select a candidate for the March by-election.

Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, Mussa Dankwah, explained that the findings reflect prevailing voter sentiments within the constituency and offer a snapshot of the likely outcome of the upcoming primary contest.
