At the unveiling ceremony, party chairman Abubakar Saddique Boniface explained that the rebranding reflects a renewed dedication to good governance, transformational leadership, and competent service.

“Today, we present to you the United Party or UP Plus a political organisation meant to bring real change to governance,” Boniface stated. “We will make a difference through universal values and respect for credible, competent leadership with vision.”

Party leader Alan Kyerematen described the move as “a new dawn for Ghanaian politics,” aimed at promoting accountability, fighting corruption, and providing a credible alternative to the entrenched winner-takes-all political system.
