Akuffo Addo Has Abandoned Over 100 Projects In The Eastern Region – Akyem

 Members of the Progressive Akyem Citizens group in the Eastern Region is urging the flagbearer of the NDC, John Mahama to neglect threats to ban him and his party from campaigning on Akyem lands.

This is following a demonstration by the Concerned Citizens of Okyeman, also group in the Eastern region, few weeks ago over a post by Bolganta Central MP, Isaac Adongo which was endorsed by former President Mahama,that some of the appointees of Akufo-Addo are ‘Akyem Sakawa Mafias’.

Addressing the situation in press conference in Akyem Asamankese,by the convenor of the Progressive Akyem Citizens, Ben Korankye described the threats as unnecessary.

He assured the NDC flagbearer,John Dramani Mahama that he will be welcomed in  Akyem, any-day, anytime and anywhere in the three part of the akyem states to host his campaign.

Pressing forward with his address, Mr. Korankye expressed his hope that when the NDC is voted back into power, all projects that have been abandoned in the region will be completed.

“Even though Mr. Akufo-Addo has little or no developmental projects to boast of in Akyem, this government has abandoned over 100 projects in the Akyem enclave which were at various stages of completion and were handed over to him by his predecessors, he justified his hope in the NDC when elected back into power.
