Twitter is buzzing over the decision of Ghanaian comedian Derrick Kobina Bonney popularly known as DKB to quit the entertainment industry for good.
Well, GhArticles.com can’t confirm the main reason behind the comedian’s sudden change of mind to quit being a celebrity in Ghana.
However, social media users are gossiping that his decision comes following the arrest of two biggest Ghanaian musicians; Shatta Wale and Medikal.
GhArticles.com earlier on reported that multiple award-winning Ghanaian rapper, Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal has been arrested for brandishing a gun on social media.
This comes few hours after dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale, and four other people were remanded into police custody following an alleged gun attack that turned out to be hoax.
They were remanded by the Accra Circuit Court on Thursday, October 21, 2021, during their first appearance in court.
Shatta Wale was picked up by the police for spreading false news about an assassination attempt at his residence in Accra on October 19, 2021.
Following their arrest many Ghanaians believed that the Ghana Police have not being fair to the musicians.
They compared their crime to that of Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Development, Hawa Koomson who ordered her bodyguards to fire guns during the Voter’s ID card registration prior to the 2020 elections.
They also compared their situation to that of Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who also threatened to beat one Multimedia journalist for exaggerating the reportage of Kaaka’s death which lead to massive protest in Ejura and subsequent death and injuries of some persons.
Fast forward, DKB took to Twitter to de-announce himself as celebrity in Ghana.
