Adum Fire: Five Arrested for Alleged Looting Amid Market Blaze

Five individuals have been arrested for allegedly attempting to loot shops during the devastating fire outbreak at Adum Market in Kumasi on Friday, March 21, 2025.

The fire, which broke out in the early hours of the morning, caused significant damage to multiple shops in the Central Business District, sending traders into panic as they rushed to save their merchandise.

While firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) battled to contain the blaze, some opportunists reportedly took advantage of the chaos to loot goods from affected stores.

Law enforcement officers swiftly intervened, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
