Yaw Asante Agyekum, recently acquitted after over two decades in prison for a wrongful conviction, has shared his emotional experience following his release.

Speaking to TV3, Agyekum recalled the life-altering moment he was imprisoned at age 24, just a month after his daughter was born. He said he had no knowledge of the criminal activities of Ataa Ayi, the notorious robber he was accused of being associated with.

“I was only 24 years old, and my daughter was just one month old when I went to jail,” he said, adding that he was unaware of the kind of work Ataa Ayi was involved in.
