On Monday, January 6, 2025, outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo welcomed President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang to the Jubilee House for a familiarization tour ahead of the official handover.
The tour allowed Mahama and Opoku-Agyemang to acquaint themselves with the presidency’s operations and facilities, which will serve as the administrative hub for their incoming government.
President Akufo-Addo’s tenure concludes on January 7, 2025, the day Mahama will be sworn in as Ghana’s new leader following his victory in the December 7 general elections.
The inauguration ceremony, to be held at Black Star Square, will host dignitaries, diplomats, and representatives from various sectors.
