The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) is starting the next phase of its 2024 recruitment exercise today, November 11, at 9 a.m., at the Fire Academy and Training School in Jamestown, Accra.
According to a public notice, this phase will involve body selection, documentation, and medical examinations. The body selection step assesses candidates’ physical fitness for fire service duties, while documentation involves verification of birth and academic certificates. Candidates who pass these stages will proceed to medical exams, which they must cover at their own expense.
The GNFS also cautioned unsuccessful applicants and the public against making payments to individuals claiming to secure recruitment positions, emphasizing that no payments are required to join the service. The recruitment drive, announced in August, seeks to fill various roles within the GNFS.
