Suspect Arrested for Threatening to Harm Public Officials

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Ibrahim Mohammed, a suspect who threatened to harm public officials in a viral video. Identifying himself as “Kanawu” in the footage, Mohammed issued threats against government officials and anyone who would oppose him.

A reward of GH¢50,000 was offered for information leading to his arrest after he was declared wanted on September 9, 2024.

The Police confirmed Mohammed’s arrest in a social media post on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, stating that he had been taken into custody. The statement also noted that Mohammed will face legal proceedings and undergo due process.
