Pray for Me to Win the Election – Bawumia to Religious Leaders

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has appealed to religious groups for prayers to ensure his victory in the 2024 election.

Speaking in Techiman, Bono Region, as part of his nationwide campaign, Dr. Bawumia addressed various groups, including religious bodies, the Muslim community, Bono East traditional leaders, the youth wing of the NPP, traders at Techiman market, and artisans at Magazine.

Dr. Bawumia urged the religious groups, clergy, Muslim, and traditional leaders to increase their prayers for peaceful and fair elections and for his bid to become the next President.

He emphasized that the nation’s religious tolerance has garnered admiration, particularly for maintaining peace.

He assured that the NPP would work with all stakeholders during and after the election to uphold the nation’s peace.

Highlighting the NPP’s achievements and future policies, Dr. Bawumia promised to surpass previous accomplishments by creating a digitalized economy, implementing a flat tax system, and realigning the import duty regime.

Mr. Dan Kweku Botwe, the National Campaign Chairman for Dr. Bawumia’s election campaign, noted that the party’s collaboration with religious bodies was not just for political reasons but also because these institutions play a crucial role in promoting peace and unity among the populace.
