Former GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi Set to Contest Ejisu Parliamentary Seat Following John Kumah’s Passing

Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has expressed his intention to run in the upcoming by-election in the Ejisu constituency following the passing of John Kumah.

During an interview in Kumasi at the launch of the New Patriotic Party’s Ashanti Regional Campaign team, Mr. Nyantakyi stated his readiness to participate in the Ejisu by-election once the official timetable is released.

While acknowledging the mourning process within the constituency following the passing of the late Deputy Finance Minister, Mr. Nyantakyi highlighted his ties to the constituency and his eligibility to run.

“The Ejisu by-election will definitely come on, but the timetable has not been published yet so we don’t know those who want to contest. Since I come from there and I have the right to contest, at the right time, we’ll see what will happen,” he said.
