Prempeh College Has Reportedly Placed an Interlocutory Injunction on the National Science and Math Quiz Grand Finale

In a surprising turn of events, controversy has arisen around the highly anticipated National Science and Math Quiz (NSMQ) Grand Finale scheduled to take place on October 30, 2023, at the National Theatre. Prempeh College has allegedly taken a significant step by filing for an interlocutory injunction to halt the event, citing concerns over their semi-finals results, which they claim were marred by unfairness.

The central issue at the heart of this dispute revolves around a contentious answer provided by Prempeh College during the semi-finals. Prempeh College asserts that they were unjustly denied three crucial points due to an answer they believe to be correct. However, Prime Time, the main organizers of the NSMQ, publicly declared that the answer in question was, in fact, incorrect. This stark difference of opinion has prompted Prempeh College to take legal action in the form of an injunction, effectively putting the NSMQ Grand Finale in limbo.

However, it has come to light that the injunction may not have been directly instigated by Prempeh College itself. Recent reports suggest that the injunction was pursued by an individual who happens to be the parent of one of the contestants and an old student of the school. This new development adds an intriguing twist to the ongoing dispute and raises questions about the depth of support for Prempeh College’s cause.
