
A 42-year-old man, Bismark Yaw Sarfo Danso, has been murdered in a suspected robbery attack at his residence at Asonkore SSNIT, a suburb of Obuasi in the Ashanti Region.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, December 13, 2025, between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., when three armed men allegedly stormed the house while the family was asleep.
According to the deceased’s wife, Comfort Mensah, the assailants forcefully entered the residence and attacked her husband before fleeing with cash, a laptop, and other personal belongings.
As part of ongoing investigations, the Obuasi Police Command has arrested the deceased’s junior brother to assist in establishing the circumstances surrounding the murder.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue for preservation and autopsy, while police intensify efforts to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
The incident has triggered fear among residents of the Asonkore SSNIT community, with calls for increased police patrols and improved security measures. Police have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward to support the investigation.
