Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has declared that Ghana’s economy has fully recovered, with renewed investor confidence and significant progress in key economic indicators.
Presenting the 2026 Budget Statement to Parliament on Thursday, November 13, Dr. Forson highlighted that the government has restored fiscal discipline, curbed inflation, stabilised the cedi, and revived economic confidence.
“This is not just a recovery; it’s a reset—a rebuilding from the ashes of daunting inheritance, a heavy burden laid on us by the previous administration,” he stated.
Dr. Forson assured that the government will maintain fiscal prudence and protect the gains made so far. “Confidence is returning, the Black Star is rising once more. Ghana is back strong and full of hope,” he added.
He noted that the 2026 Budget builds on the economic foundation laid over the past two years, focusing on stability, growth, and investor assurance.
