The Ghana Police Service have located the 12-year-old girl reportedly married to 63-year-old Gborbu Wulomo in Nungua, Accra.
Both the girl and her mother are now under the protection of the Ghana Police Service.
In a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, efforts are being made to collaborate with the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection and the Department of Social Welfare to ensure the girl receives the necessary assistance while investigations into the matter are ongoing.
