A tragic accident in Samreboi, Wassa Amenfi West, has claimed the life of a miner, Osman Idrisu, popularly known as Inta, and left two others injured. The incident occurred on Thursday, August 22, 2024, near a Roman Catholic Church in the town.
According to reports, the accident involved two motorcycles and a tipper truck loaded with sand. The accident happened when Idrisu attempted to overtake the truck on his motorcycle but collided with another motorcycle. The collision caused him to fall under the truck, which then ran over him, resulting in his death on the spot.
Idrisu was reportedly on his way to buy petrol from his work site when the accident occurred. The two other injured individuals were quickly taken to Samartex Hospital for treatment. Their identities have not yet been disclosed.
